Agenda
Leadership Is a Choice: Practical Leadership Skills for Real Work Situations
This interactive leadership talk focuses on a simple idea: leadership is not about your title or personality. Leadership is about your behavior and the choices you make in everyday situations.
In many workplaces, leadership is expected to be consistent, fair, and effective. However, there is no single “right” way to lead. Different teams, cultures, and situations require different approaches. This session introduces leadership as a practical and flexible skill that can be developed over time.
You will explore seven leadership styles that you can use in your work. Instead of focusing on theory, the session helps you understand when and how to apply each style. You will reflect on your strengths, identify potential blind spots, and consider how your behavior affects your team.
This is an interactive session. You will take part in short exercises, guided reflection, and group discussion. You will also receive a workbook to support your learning and help you apply the ideas in your own context.
The session is designed for emerging leaders, but it is also useful for experienced professionals who want to review and strengthen their approach. It recognizes that leadership expectations can vary across teams and cultures, and provides tools that you can adapt to your own environment.
The focus is practical. By the end of the session, you will have a clearer understanding of how to lead with intention, adapt your style, and make more consistent and effective decisions with your team.
