Join us online on May 12th for a global gathering dedicated to women’s leadership and the competencies that define success in a rapidly changing world.
What if project management could be a platform not only for delivering projects, but for empowering people?
Women in Project Management (WiPM) is a nationwide initiative of PMI Poland Chapter, established in 2017 to strengthen the role of women in project management and promote diversity and equal opportunities in business. What began as a local initiative has grown into a country-wide platform collaborating with PMI branches across Poland, delivering educational and networking events both onsite and online.
In 2023, we hosted our first WiPM Conference, bringing together experienced practitioners and a vibrant community of professionals. Today, through conferences, workshops and webinars, we connect participants across Poland and internationally.
Our mission is to share knowledge, develop leadership and project competencies, create a safe space for experience exchange, and build a strong, supportive professional network. While focused on empowering women, WiPM is open to everyone who believes in inclusive leadership and diverse teams.
By joining WiPM events, participants gain access to practical business knowledge based on real case studies and market experience. They develop key professional competencies in leadership, project delivery, communication, and decision-making. They exchange insights with experienced practitioners from various industries, and expand their professional network with meaningful and career-supporting relationships, and find inspiration through authentic success stories and powerful role models.
This is more than a conference. This is a defining moment.
For the first time in the history of Women in Project Management and PMI Poland Chapter, we are hosting a truly international online conference.
For the first time, we have invited other PMI Chapters and global initiatives supporting women to co-create this experience with us. Together, we are building something exceptional, an event where history is being written before our eyes.
Our ambition goes beyond inspiration. We aim to support women in developing the competencies required in a fast-changing, dynamic world one that demands agility, resilience and empathy. A world shaped by technological acceleration and new leadership paradigms, where we continuously redefine our place, our voice and our values as leaders.
This conference brings together outstanding speakers from Europe and the United States, remarkable partners and a community ready for meaningful dialogue. It is a space for solid knowledge, fresh perspectives and real empowerment. We want every participant to strengthen her leadership style,

This interactive leadership talk focuses on a simple idea: leadership is not about your title or personality. Leadership is about your behavior and the choices you make in everyday situations.
In many workplaces, leadership is expected to be consistent, fair, and effective. However, there is no single “right” way to lead. Different teams, cultures, and situations require different approaches. This session introduces leadership as a practical and flexible skill that can be developed over time.
You will explore seven leadership styles that you can use in your work. Instead of focusing on theory, the session helps you understand when and how to apply each style. You will reflect on your strengths, identify potential blind spots, and consider how your behavior affects your team.
This is an interactive session. You will take part in short exercises, guided reflection, and group discussion. You will also receive a workbook to support your learning and help you apply the ideas in your own context.
The session is designed for emerging leaders, but it is also useful for experienced professionals who want to review and strengthen their approach. It recognizes that leadership expectations can vary across teams and cultures, and provides tools that you can adapt to your own environment.
The focus is practical. By the end of the session, you will have a clearer understanding of how to lead with intention, adapt your style, and make more consistent and effective decisions with your team.
Impostor syndrome, (self‑)sabotage, and invisible rules often push women to step back long before they reach the top. In this talk, Justyna explores why women eliminate themselves and sometimes each other on the path to leadership. Drawing from years of mentoring and project leadership experience, she challenges deeply rooted narratives about proving worth, visibility, and power, and invites women to stop disappearing and start owning their impact.
This session will address how to bring more women into project management, beginning with statistical evidence of the importance of diversity for project success and examining the current number of women in project management.
Drawing from our experiences and research, we will analyze the roadblocks women face and share key strategies to break the glass ceiling.
Language: English
Learning Objectives
Identify the roadblocks women may face, from the recruitment process to the achievement of leadership roles.
Develop strategies to overcome these roadblocks and move upward
Imagine waking up in a hotel room in complete darkness.
You don’t know what time it is. You’re not sure where the door or the light switch is.
You’re fully capable, but in that moment, reaching out, hoping to find something useful, you’re guessing.
That’s where many high-performing women leaders operate today. Not because they are struggling, but because they’ve been strong for so long that no one noticed, including themselves, when they lost their bearings.
In complex project environments, where decisions are constant and expectations are high, many leaders default to holding everything together for everyone else instead of deciding what truly matters.
What often gets in the way isn’t lack of direction, but the performance built to stay effective, reliable, and in control.
This keynote focuses on the moment where being “the strong one” stops working and what to do instead.
It combines humor, honesty, and a simple, practical tool participants can use immediately.
Even in an online setting, participants will experience the difference between three states they move through under pressure:
holding everything together
what’s actually happening underneath
a more grounded position from which they can respond
Participants will learn how to recognise these shifts in real time and interrupt them before they drive decisions.
Participants will leave with one clear shift they can apply immediately, in meetings, decisions, and high-pressure moments.
In an era where "Greenwashing" is no longer an option, Project Leaders are the frontline of true organizational change. The traditional Triple Constraint Scope, Time, and Cost is evolving. To lead in this new era, project managers must master Green Project Management skills and practictes.
In this session, we will bridge the gap between high-level ESG strategy and daily project execution. Drawing on real-world insights from delivering sustainable Vugar will move beyond theory to provide a practical "Green PM Playbook." Attendees will discover how to transition from "Task Managers" to "Strategic Sustainability Leaders" by integrating the P5™ Standard and PRiSM™ methodology into their existing Agile or Waterfall approaches.
Artificial Intelligence is rapidly transforming our societies, economies and workplaces. But will its benefits be shared equally by everyone?
Can AI help reduce the gender gap, or could it unintentionally reinforce existing inequalities? Are we truly protecting our data and freedoms when using AI systems, or are we placing too much trust in technologies we do not fully understand?
This seminar explores the societal risks associated with Artificial Intelligence, including algorithmic bias, the impact on human rights, potential effects on health and well-being, and the implications for individual freedom.
The goal is to raise awareness of these challenges and provide participants with perspectives and tools to navigate the AI-driven future in a more critical, responsible and informed way.
Inclusion may offer you a seat — but owning the room begins within.
We have all experienced moments of being seen, yet not fully heard. Moments when doubt was louder than confidence. In those defining spaces, what makes the difference is not just opportunity, it is intention.
Through PMI’s M.O.R.E. framework — Manage Perceptions, Own Your Success, Relentlessly Assess, and Expand Horizon — this panel discussion invites you to move beyond representation into resonance.
Through real stories, reflection, and practical shifts, from our panellists you will learn how to shape your own narrative, embrace your achievements without apology, continuously evolve, and expand beyond familiar boundaries.
Because the room does not change when you enter it.
The room changes when you decide to own it.
The path from growth to greatness is built on daily improvements, emotional intelligence, and unlocking your potential to lead in complex environments. Through real stories and practical insights, this speech explores how empathy, communication, and psychological safety drive high-performing teams. With actionable strategies and a vision for the future, you will be empowered to embrace continuous learning, foster collaboration, and develop the essential leadership skills needed to thrive as the PM of tomorrow in an ever-evolving world.
A talk about why high achievers can build a successful life on the outside while feeling disconnected on the inside, and how alignment and clarity bring them back into a life that truly feels like their own.
In this talk, Nicole Marquardt explores a challenge many high achievers quietly experience: a life that looks successful on paper but does not feel like their own.
Through personal storytelling and practical insight, she reveals why external success alone is not enough and how misalignment shows up in everyday life.
The audience will leave with a deeper understanding of where disconnection begins and a simple three-step approach to reconnect with themselves: noticing misalignment, choosing clarity over comfort, and trusting themselves enough to act.
The talk is based on her personal journey and the work behind her upcoming book, which explores this topic in greater depth.
